end of project ....

My contributions to do the group

I helped the group to think of the double entries of the transactions that occur and key in into the system the relevant data.
I am also involved with the discussion on how to set up the AR and also AP system. I helped them mostly in the areas of the practical part.

Soft skills that I picked up

Through this project I learnt about teamwork. I realised that not only one person can do the job. Everyone has to play a part by contributing to the project to make it a successful one. We had a few disagreements but the spirit of teamwork never hinders us from completing the project.
This project has allow me to improve on my communication skills. I am able to communicate effectively with my peers as I am not afraid anymore to voice out my opinion to my group mates . As we know that everyone have different characteristics, we cannot expect them to be what we want them to be like. This happens in a group. We just have to treat everyone fairly and also encourage our group mates to voice out their opinion without fear so as to engage them in the work.

end of CAS project...

I was told by my team members that they had already printed out the finals reports as well as the theory part. I could not attend yesterday as i was on MC.This project was quite tedious as it was very time-consuming. I would say i am relieved that this project have finally been completed. I just hope that we will all score for this project.

Things done today

Today we managed to key in the AR transactions. It was not so difficult as we had already know waht to do. We were quite confident of doing this task. Not much done today because lab was only available for 1 hour as we ended class at 1pm. We are planning to do balance day adjustments as well as key in the last 2 entries... That's all for today.

4th meeting....

What we did today was solve the double entry for the last 3 Source Documents. We manage to setup the Accounts Payable. There were uncertainties regarding the set up but with teachers's help we manage to resolve the problem. For the AP, so far we have keyed in the opening balances . We also realised that there were some mistakes in our Accounts Receivable. Our opening balance amount was entered wrongly. I had to leave early because of work.. till then...

So today was the 2nd day of meeting.We started out by entering the opening balances for 1st june. We took turns to key in the opening balances. Our aim for today was to get started with the AR setup. We managed to set up the tax as well as bank services.

There were some issues regarding the account on impairment loss. We used the account number 1031.For the AR setup we had only managed to finish until the accounts set. It was quite manageable.

We managed to key in the recuring entries. We have identified depreciation as the recurring entries. There are still other recurring entries which we are unsure of . We are to identify the recurring entries on our own first and brainstorm next friday. That's all we did for today. Our next meeting would bo on Friday.

We planned to finish up in the AR as well as AP set up first . There is still much work that needs to be done. till then........

first day of project....

First day of project today. Liwen and I wrote down the transactions entries . There were few entries that we were unsure of though. Nadira and Eunice set up the necessary accounts. There were some difficulties with the segment code but we figured it out together.
There is another meeting session tomorrow. Thta's all for today..
